The other evening, I met a girlfriend for dinner, and we wound up choosing Via Quadronno, located just off Central Park at Madison Avenue and 73rd Street.
While this Italian restaurant is best known for its cappuccino and panini sandwiches, they have an extensive enough menu to impress tourists and locals. And, if you’re an early riser, you can drop by for an adorably decorated cappuccino and a chocolate croissant.
Via Quadronno features a full dining menu, homemade desserts, fantastic gelato, and wines. Their made-to-order paninis are served semplice–composed of a single ingredient on freshly baked bread, as open-faced sandwiches, or all Milanese. You can also sample their Lasagna Bolognese, a homestyle rendition of the original classic from Bologna.
Let’s check out the outside and interior spaces at this delightful restaurant.

So, what did I decide to order?
I wanted to keep it simple, so I ordered the Grilled Salmon with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables.

The meal was delicious, the service was lovely, and the place was welcoming and felt homey. I recommend Via Quadronno if you’re around 74th and Madison. You’ll like it!
