It was a beautiful late spring night to walk around the neighborhood just next to New York’s Little Italy. Balthazar French Cafe was busy and beckoning as I approached for an early dinner.

The cocktail, wine, and dinner menus offer epicures and friendly visitors alike many options.
I started with a chilled bottle of Avian water, a perfect preparation for the Frisée aux Lardons consisting of chicory salad with a warm bacon shallot vinaigrette and a soft-poached egg. This paired beautifully with the Half Crab Mayonnaise.
