NEW YORK – Little Ruby’s Café East Village
While walking from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue on East 11th Street, I passed the cutest restaurant. I had to check out the menu. The café boasts an Australian menu, and it had everything that I liked, including terrific-looking salads. The restaurant is named Little Ruby’s or, as the sign says, Ruby’s.

I made a mental note to go to Ruby’s for lunch since it’s close to where I live. Well, I did that today, and I am glad I did.
Here is the outside eating area.

Here is the inside.

I learned from Little Ruby’s website that “Since 2002, Little Ruby’s has brought Australian cafe culture to New York City, offering casual, locally sourced cuisine, specialty drinks, and a full coffee program. Open for brekkie, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, Ruby’s iconic menu features our signature bronte burger, taste-driven pasta, bowls and salads, and brunch classics like ricotta hotcakes.”
Wow! What to order?

It was hot today, so I chose the Chicken Avocado Salad, which was fabulous. It included Baby Kale, Spinach, Green Apple, Candied Walnuts, Grilled Chicken, and Creamy Lemon Pepper Dressing. Each ingredient was super fresh and assembled with tender care. One can always tell!
Here is their menu so you can look over it in detail.

By the way, in my research, I discovered that there are four Little Ruby’s in the city. Besides this one in the East Village, there is one in Soho, Murray Hill, and the West Village.
If you’re looking for an excellent meal at a reasonable price, check out Little Ruby’s! It won’t disappoint!
