NEW YORK – Dinner with a Friend at Laser Wolf Restaurant in Brooklyn

Laser Wolf was a culinary and destination delight. The sumptuous Israeli cuisine was full of flavor, served in a spacious dining area with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. This combined for a memorable, festive meal. Named after Lazar Wolf, the butcher in the renowned Fiddler on the Roof, Laser Wolf has roots in Philadelphia’s CookNSolo and Chicago’s Boka Restaurant. This Brooklyn location was easy to access from Manhattan, just a three-stop subway ride and a three-minute walk from Union Square Station.

Stepping into the Hoxton Hotel, we made our way to the elevator leading to Laser Wolf. The swift ride to the rooftop was a prelude to the fun, welcoming vibe that greeted us as the doors opened. Seated at a comfortable, whimsical backgammon table, we eagerly perused the menu, anticipating the culinary delights to come.

The cocktail menu at Laser Wolf is a work of art, each drink a unique creation. We started our culinary journey with the Get Shishlik’d (Reyka Vodka, Aperol, Guava, Lime – frozen), a refreshing blend of flavors, and a zero-proof Lemonana (mint lemonade) that was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy.

Dinner began with a beautiful presentation of Salatim: creamy hummus, pita, and a variety of delicately and deliciously prepared vegetables, followed by a skewer of meat and a vegetable dish cooked over a coal-fired grill.

This amazing meal was punctuated by a fluffy dish of their signature brown sugar soft-serve ice cream.

I highly recommend Laser Wolf Restaurant for its ambiance, view, and variety of tastes and textures to share and savor long after the meal is over.
