It was members’ night at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a perfect opportunity to meet a friend in the area for dinner and a museum tour. I asked her to select an outstanding restaurant from her neighborhood. She brought me to the fabulous Antonucci Cafe, an Italian restaurant located at 171 East 81 Street between Lexington and Third. As you can see from the photos from Rome and New York, the New York setting transports you instantly to Rome.

The chicken meatballs were delicious, and the rice pilaf accompaniment delightfully exceeded my expectations.
When I saw the chocolate banana cake with chocolate ice cream I was captivated! It was decadently delicious and reigned as one of the top 5 desserts I’ve ever enjoyed. The layers of ganache and caramelized bananas with a dollop of chocolate ice cream were a heavenly creation.
I highly recommend Antonucci Cafe if you find yourself on the Upper East Side (AKA Yorkville). It has grace, charm, warmth, and divine dining.
I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Tonight was an entertaining concert by influential, gifted, and driven artists. We shall be hearing from them more and more as their sparkling careers continue to evolve. The band was solid, the sound balance was excellent, and the musicians seamlessly shifted through the demands and diverse styles of the songs.
We’ve entered a dreamscape created by the collective minds of Monty Python, Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, and Stanley Kubrick. In this virtual world, we laugh at violence, wait for punchlines, root for our heroes, and experience larger-than-life events that can only occur in fantasies.
