A Tribute to Chita Rivera at Café Carlyle – she doesn’t just take the stage at Café Carlyle, she hoists it over her shoulder and walks off with it and so in love with being on a stage that you wonder what pitiful amount of energy she might have left to devote to other matters.
Seth Rudesky hosted an event at Café Carlyle that, in the annals of theater, shall remain a night of incredible music, cherished remembrances, personal anecdotes, and Broadway history told by the artists who live it. It was indeed a biographical sojourn of epic artistic proportions.
A wonderful night to see Dianna Agron at Café Carlyle, a fantastic venue and intimate cabaret performance space of comfort and magnetism.
House lights dimmed as Young approached the stage, looking sharp in a black satin suit, black tie, and crisp white shirt. A beguiling, gentle, and familiar musical intro began for Young as he set the mood with I Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You. Many swooned as Young displayed his flawless range, finesse, and poignancy. For the rest of the evening, his poise, confidence, and communication encouraged the audience to participate and experience each song with him.
