EXCITING NEWS FROM MUSIC DIRECTOR AND CONDUCTOR DAVID BERNARD!

Announcing the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony InsideOut Immersive Experience and the 2023-2024 Concert Season.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued Patent No. 11,673,070 entitled “Methods and Systems for Arranging Seats for Audience Members and Musicians.”

This patent covers algorithms and processes that enable classical music event producers and venue designers to actively manage audience experience.  Immersion is basically defined by the design and execution of events. Accordingly, audience experience and immersion can take their place alongside acoustics and environmental conditions as determining factors in audience satisfaction and the success of venue design.

Here is a link to an article about the patent on Yahoo.

Background

In 2015, Maestro David Bernard began his examination of how orchestras might increase their success with the classical music world’s biggest challenge—audience growth. Hence, Bernard pondered the difference between classical music enthusiast and those less informed about classical music.

Bernard hypothesized that the main difference is a lack of an immersive classical music experiences in the lives of those yet to discover the beauty and power of classical music. Indeed, the concept of Bernard’s now well-known “InsideOut” was born, and in the coming seasons, he incorporated a new kind of immersive strategy into symphonic concerts. With each successive event, he “tweaked” the model, ultimately developing an approach toward maximizing audience immersion in classical music concerts while selecting music for children and adults.

A Dark Winter May befall on America Once Again

COVID-19 deaths have continued to happen in the U.S. over the past few years. As winter approaches, COVID-19, unlike the influenza of 1918, is a coronavirus we still know little about. If you were preparing for war, you would know your enemy. Some experts claim a cure is close, but I believe there isn’t one yet. We must keep fighting this invisible enemy that is trying to destroy us.

Electric Lemon at Hudson Yards

The Electric Lemon restaurant is located at the top of the five-star Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. The rooftop bar boasts an 8,000-square-foot rooftop garden with a monumental Jaume Plensa sculpture. It overlooks the Hudson River and the city skyline. They possess a wide range of food and drinks, from light bites to seasonal offerings at dinner and rooftop brunch on the weekends. It’s open all year round because of the sleek and expansive dining room and fire-pits on the al fresco terrace.
