Cuban food is a marvelous benefit of visiting South Florida. We’ve visited a few Cuban restaurants and keep returning to El Tropical in Cape Coral. They serve fresh, delicious fare and offer many authentic recipes. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. Seating is homey and comfortable, and local patrons rave about the selections, including those with a Cuban heritage.
The food and drink menus are extensive and can be found here.
The entrees we ordered were roasted pork chunks and shredded beef.

Popular sides include tostones and sweet plantains.

They offer mixed drinks specials at the spotless bar preparation area. Note the bar counter and table seating, booth seating, and the bandstand for dancing and dining music.
