Spano’s Ristorante Italiano is a very special place in Point Pleasant Beach NJ. Known for its fresh seafood and authentic Italian cooking, the extensive menu represents the many regions of Chef Spano’s Italian heritage. Due to the restaurant’s popularity you can only attend with reservations.
I knew dinner at Bocca di Bacco and Chicago on Broadway would be a fun evening. A group of friends and I purchased tickets for this eponymous windy city extravaganza.
Tonight’s special at Hampton Junction Nonna’s Kitchen was a roasted veal chop, perfectly prepared medium rare, accompanied by grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes. Exquisite is the word for this dish. Next, we consumed a personal pepperoni pizza with a light homemade crust and crispy. Then, right out of the pasta-making machine, the cheese ravioli were filled with a light-as-a-feather ricotta stuffing, ideally seasoned, and served in light oil and garlic with white wine reduction, garnished with broccoli rabe and sundried tomatoes.
Two Meatballs in the Kitchen features as a delicious starter Mama’s Meatballs consisting of three veal, beef, and pork traditionally made meatballs topped with ricotta and parmesan cheese swimming in homemade southern Italian tomato sauce.
