Cape Coral hosts many pleasant surprises. Some friends and I recently spent a pleasant evening at Nemo’s Sports Bistro at Bowland in Cape Coral. Along with a bowling alley brimming with activity, there is Nemo’s Cafe where diners can relax, play pool and darts, watch live sports, and order bar fare like drinks, wings, and pizza.

Staff was friendly and attentive and we selected seats outside on the covered patio.

We ordered at the bar and staff brought it out to us. Here’s their menu.

We ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and Pork Sliders and noted that our table neighbors ordered wings and pizza, which they were heartily enjoying. Our sandwiches and drinks were tasty and a great prelude to exploring the bowling alley.

Over time bowling alleys have disappeared in many areas of the country. It is heartwarming to see this healthy, fun activity in full force.

Nemo’s was fun with a nice vibe. We’ll go again! I encourage bowlers who have recently relocated to the area to check out their leagues.

Drinking in America at the Minetta Lane Theater

Royo delivered a resounding performance, transforming into over 12 characters experiencing the stages of alcoholism and its effects on each character’s interaction with himself and others. At times, it’s hard to tell who Man is, as his toxic masculinity dominates and elevates with the abuse of alcohol.

MasterVoices Presents a Concert of Jewish Sacred Music at Central Synagogue

Tonight’s O How Good was a celebration of the life of MasterVoices board member Lois Conway and the years of philanthropy and insightful leadership characterizing her service. The venue chosen for this event was inspiring and magnificent and set in New York City’s Central Synagogue, a stunning example of Moorish Revival architecture and a testament to the beauty and richness of Jewish tradition and culture.
