I flew out of JFK on July 13th on British Airways at 9:30 pm to get to London for what was to be a New Yorker’s Long Weekend in London. Overall, my purpose was to attend the Global Woman Summit at The Hilton London Bridge Tower Hotel. Since this was my first time visiting London, I looked forward to attending the Summit and seeing some of the sights.
London Bridge
Here is where I finally chose to only a few blocks from The Thames River at a great location.

Global Woman Summit
When I got to the hotel later, I was exhausted, but a friend from Glasgow and a Global Woman member was there to greet me. Before leaving the hotel, we first took photos of the steps leading up to the 3-day Global Woman Summit Event.

Hayes at the River
Then it was off to an area called Hayes at the River, a few blocks from the hotel, to have some lunch.

Later that evening we went to a Global Woman dinner, which was arranged as part of the package.
The next two days were filled with non-stop networking and conference presentations. By Monday, it was finally time to meet some friends of mine who were also in London to celebrate one of my girlfriend’s birthday and for some London sightseeing.
London Sights
So here then are some of the sights in the 5 or 6 hours I toured London. By the way, London Bridge is indeed not falling down! Enjoy!

What made the trip positively great? Without a doubt, it was meeting up with amazing women from the International Global Woman Organization!
The Best of Both Cities
So yes, I had an emphatically great time in A New Yorker’s Long Weekend in London. Altogether, I saw a bit of London and met many interesting people and learned a lot. Additionally, I was so grateful for this opportunity to meet and greet, and after New York City, what better city to network in than London?
