Barbetta

Finishing up the meal with a cup of excellent coffee, I’d rate this meal as excellent. The ambiance (continuous dining room piano playing), the food quality, the preparation, and the wait staff were all excellent. I definitely recommend Barbetta, especially for their pre-fixed theatre menu.

Hutong New York

It’s another freezing night in New York City when I decide to brave the cold and meet a friend at Hutong, New York. This delightful Hong Kong-based restaurant brings fiery Northern Chinese cuisine to Manhattan, along with their large selection of dim sum and cocktails. Hutong is located at 731 Lexington Avenue in Beacon Court off 58th Street.

Victor’s Cafe

At Victor’s Cafe there are several traditional and satisfying rice dishes, seafood, and meat choices, but it’s best to leave room for dessert. There are seven choices, but I consider the Flan de Huevo ($9) the best. A caramel sauce that tempts you to drink it from the plate surrounded by the Cuban-style egg custard.

Posto Thin Crust Pizza

The restaurant quickly grew a cult-like following and became renowned for its ultra-thin crust pizza. Posto is a relaxed, neighborhood establishment with a high-quality menu that includes pizzas, pasta, specialty sandwiches, salads, desserts, and a carefully curated beer and wine list. Its mission is to offer fresh food, high quality, consistently excellent, and affordable, and yes, it does check all those boxes!
